B.C.-based cannabis company Village Farms has announced the first shipment and launch of two leading cannabis brands in the United Kingdom.
Focused on providing patients with world-class medical cannabis products, the company’s Pure Sunfarms and The Original Fraser Valley Weed Co. will be distributed by 4C LABS, a Canadian company that imports and distributes in the UK, including a large network of pharmacies.
The launch includes three of Village Farms’ most popular strains in Canada: Pink Kush, Jet Fuel Gelato and D. Burger.
Pink Kush – This special strain is enjoyed by consumers across Canada for its strong aromas, colourful flowers, and high THC potential. Beneath a thick coating of trichomes, the dense and round buds feature forest green leaves, often with a purple hue, mixed with dark amber pistils.
Pink Kush showcases gassy aromas of white pepper, orange, butterscotch, coffee, earth, and grapefruit, the result of a rich combination of terpenes that includes caryophyllene, myrcene, humulene, bisabolol and limonene.
Jet Fuel Gelato – Jet Fuel Gelato is an evenly balanced hybrid strain (50 per cent indica/50 er cent sativa). This strain is often chosen to treat those suffering from conditions such as chronic stress, depression, inflammation, chronic fatigue, ADD or ADHD and chronic pain. This bud has a sweet and fruity berry flavour with a slight peppery sour citrus exhale.
D. Burger – Greenhouse grown in B.C.’s Fraser Valley, Donny Burger is a deliciously savoury and pungent indica weed strain made by crossing GMO with Han-Solo Burger. The effects of this strain are more calming than energizing. At a potent 26 per cent THC, Donny Burger is best-suited for cannabis consumers with a higher THC tolerance.
Michael DeGiglio, Chief Executive Officer for Village Farms, says the announcement further encourages the value behind Canada’s leading cannabis products.
“This launch of our leading B.C.-grown cannabis brands is a game-changer for patients in the UK, the third most populated country in Europe,” DeGiglio said in a news release.
“Through our wholly owned subsidiary, Pure Sunfarms, we are now exporting our preferred Canadian-grown cannabis products to four international medical markets, including Germany, Australia and Israel, which together with the UK, represent a population of more than 185 million.”
