Marking International Women’s Day in the cannabis and psychedelics industries

International Women’s Day is an opportunity to celebrate how far women have come, but also recognize how far we have to go. It’s no less true in the cannabis and psychedelics spaces.

“Women are still a minority in the cannabis and psychedelics industries. This is true for many startup industries,” notes Katie Pringle, CEO of Marigold PR, organizer of this year’s MarigoldLIVE: International Women’s Day event, Wednesday, March 8, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. “Studies show hiring and promoting women is good for business, and events like Marigold Live bring the community together to gain knowledge and grow their network.”

MarigoldLIVE: International Women’s Day

Marigold PR’s fourth annual Women’s Day Networking Event is your opportunity to gain valuable industry information and make meaningful business connections.

During the 19+ CA / 21+ US event, learn from inspiring speakers from the psychedelic and cannabis industries, and build connections through virtual networking. All are welcome to attend, but spaces are limited.

Following the State of the Union of Psychedelics Panel, featuring Sabrina Ramkellawan, Najla Guthrie and others, the day features a Spotlight on Mental Health in the Ukraine with Dr. Olga Chernoloz; Thought leadership for Women Panel, featuring Haley Nagasaki, Annaleise Kiebler, Sherry Boodram and Dr. Amanda Reiman, and Speed-Networking Breakout Rooms.

Marigold PR has been creating events for women in the cannabis and psychedelics space since 2017.

“We’ve been able to support more than 300 women with speaking opportunities and have engaged over 2,000 people in valuable virtual networking that help move business forward. Everyone is welcome to attend,” Pringle says.

This year’s event starts with a panel of experts to take the audience through an overview of the business of psychedelics.

“There’s an overlap of talent and knowledge in the cannabis and psychedelics industries, with people eager to understand where the opportunities sit in this new arena. The final panel will cover thought-leadership for women, and offers a chance to learn from women in leadership,” Pringle says. “We wrap with virtual networking breakout rooms, where attendees have the chance to meet people looking to make connections and engage.”

The Marigold PR team looks forward to seeing people from every level of the cannabis and psychedelics industries come together to learn and network. And be sure to connect on Linkedin after the event to keep the opportunity for conversation open.
