Lifestyle guru Martha Stewart is such a fan of gummies that she can consume nearly two-dozen of them and still feel relatively sober.

In a wide-ranging interview with The New York Times — in which she consumed four gummies during the hour-long Zoom interview — she extolled the virtues of her own CBD line of products.

“It depends on who you are,” Stewart told the interviewer when asked how many to consume.

“I pop 20 of them and just feel OK, but some of my friends do two and feel high, I don’t know why. It’s not high like a marijuana high. It’s a CBD high, like, relaxed.”

Stewart recounts some of her experiences with cannabis, and her experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic, saying that she’s lost weight.

As for CBD, Stewart says the target demographic for her line of CBD products is pretty much everybody.

“All my friends, every age, want them, including my daughter” — Alexis, 54 — “who doesn’t even eat sugar,” Stewart told The Times.

Stewart is partnering with Canada’s Canopy Growth on the CBD line. Canopy’s CEO, David Klein, tells The Times that Stewart is building an authentic connection with consumers.

“There’s an alchemy to Ms. Stewart’s touch,” Klein said. “She swirls it all together — her legacy, her lifestyle, our want to attain her level of success — and offers it up as a panacea to slurp down.”
